About Me

Teaching is my passion

I have been a Guitar Tutor for over 30 years, teaching students of all ages - primary, secondary including VCE and mature age. My philosophy has always been that music is an avenue for students to express themselves that might find it difficult to do otherwise.  I believe in teaching beginning students to learn in the classical style which enables the learner to play any style of music including rock, folk and jazz.  Students that wish to advance themselves, have the opportunity to enrol in A.M.E.B examinations where they can achieve certificates that highlight levels of achievements. My Qualifications include Associate Diploma of Education (Music), Bachelor of Arts (Music). I am a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (V.I.T), and the Australian Music Examination Board (A.M.E.B), I am a member of the Victorian Music Teacher’s Association (V.M.T.A) and the Golden Key Society (which recognises outstanding achievements and attainment of very high standards).
